Welcome and Street Team Rules

This is the official Warner Bros street team for the band HIM. We welcome anyone and everyone in the DFW metroplex that would like to do their part to support and promote this amazing band. If that's you - then register on the forums, introduce yourself in our introduction thread, and get ready to be put to work! The Dallas team is one of the top teams in the US and we work our butts off!

A few things/rules to know about being on this team:

1. Being on the team does not guarantee that you will meet the band. If that's your only reason for joining then this is not the place for you.

2. Respect. This goes mainly for the band and their crew/family/friends. As a street teamer you're representing the guys so please conduct yourself in an adult manner. Don't chase after/bang on the bus or act in any way shape or form like a 'groupie'. It's the quickest way to be removed from the team.

3. Document your promotion! This is VITAL to the work we do. You'll be given materials and while you're out promoting with those materials we ask that you take pictures - of yourself promoting, of a stack of flyers you left on a counter at a store, posters you put up, whatever it may be. Pics via camera phone is fine. If you only have a film camera and can't afford to get it developed give myself or Holly the film and we'll get it done. The reason for this is so that we can report back to Warner and show the materials being used so we can get more. This goes for online promotion too - screen caps are your friend!

You are allowed to keep one copy of all pieces of material for yourself. If you are found selling these materials on eBay or elsewhere you will be banned from this forum and very likely from the official HIM forums as well. And yes we do check eBay regularly for promo materials showing up.

4. Keep in touch with us! Holly and I head up this team and we want to stay in contact with you all. If you have some 'real life' stuff that's getting in the way of participating we totally understand, just let us know you're still interested and we're happy to wait til your available. If you sign up and never post here or stay in touch we will assume you're no longer interested and remove you from the team.

5. Meetings. We will conduct team meetings when possible and will always try to get an idea of your schedules before we decide on a place and time to meet up. We ask that you try very hard to make these meetings - both so that we can meet you face to face and so that you can get your materials. Mailing things out can get expensive after all. However, DFW is a big place and we know that not everyone has transportation, so if you cannot make a meeting we will do our best to get you the materials and info you need. Keep in mind though - if you're not showing documentation of your work you will NOT get more materials. We have a limited supply.

6. Perks - yes we have them. Yes we try to do our best for you guys and all the work you do. Teamers that work their asses off the most are the first to be involved in the perks. Teamers that hang around and keep in touch with us even during slow times between albums/tours/etc get major brownie points from us!
